Liverpool FC have confirmed the departure of right-back Nathaniel Clyne at the end of this month upon the expiry of his contract.
Overall, Clyne has made 103 appearances for the club in five years since his arrival from Southampton in July 2015.
However, injuries and Trent Alexander-Arnold's progress forced Clyne out of the starting XI. In his last 3 seasons at Liverpool, Clyne was restricted to just 10 outings. He also spent half of the last season on loan at Bournemouth.
This term, Nathaniel picked up a serious injury in the pre-season and has remained on the sidelines to date.
"Everyone at Liverpool Football Club would like to thank Nathaniel for his service and wish him all the best in his future career," the club statement reads.
The Reds have also announced that seven Academy players will also leave Liverpool at the end of June. Dan Atherton, Isaac Christie-Davies, Shamal George, Kai McKenzie-Lyle, Jack Walls, Alex Turner and Abel Rodrigues are set to depart.
