Serie A champions Napoli are without a head coach after Luciano Spalletti decided to take a sabbatical.
A number of candidates have been floated in the press, including the likes of Luis Enrique, Christophe Galtier and even Rafa Benitez.
According to Foot Mercato, the team's star striker Victor Osimhen strongly opposes the appointment of Christophe Galtier, who's just won Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain. Osimhen appreciates Galtier as a coach but doesn't believe he is up to the challenge.
Interestingly, the Nigerian has already played under this coach in the 2019-20 season. Lille won the French league the following season.
Galtier's stock somewhat dropped after a vapid campaign at Parc des Princes, even despite the league title. Still, he remains one of the best French coaches around, as his unlikely success with Lille attests.
