Everything indicates that Guido Rodriguez is the chosen one to replace Oriol Romeu in the Barcelona squad this summer.

While Romeu is a more avid tackler, Guido comfortably beats him in the number of interceptions, clearances and recoveries made per 90 minutes. The Argentine also has a higher percentage of aerials won, and he's yet to commit a single mistake leading to an opposition goal.
Oriol Romeu proves to be more useful on the ball. While Guido's passing quality should improve at Barca, the difference between their on-the-ball routine is obvious – Romeu drives forward more often while the Argentine prefers to sit deep and focus on his defensive duties.
