Xavi was asked to comment on what next season will bring for Vitor Roque and his comments sounded like the player could be sent on loan for regular playing time.
"At the end of the season, we will decide what is best for each player. For Roque, it is not easy to come from Brazil and make the decision directly," Xavi said.
"It takes time and adaptation takes time. At the end of the season, we will decide," the Barca boss insisted.
Xavi doesn't see Roque as a player who has adapted well to life in Spain and Barcelona. It's why the Brazilian youngster gets precious few minutes to show his abilities.
Roque still struggles with the language and his first touch still needs some improvement but the teenager seems like someone who's putting in the hard work to be the deadly finisher he was signed to be.
Roque has played just over 300 minutes across 13 games for Barca this season. He's only started two games but managed to score two goals.
