According to a recent report from Diario Sport, Bayern Munich are ready to sell Joshua Kimmich to Barcelona for €50m.
Naturally, there is a catch.
In addition to the hefty monetary sum, the German side are reportedly insisting on the inclusion of one of Blaugrana's key players – Frenkie De Jong or Ronald Araujo - in the deal.
While signing a defensive midfielder of Kimmich's caliber is Barca's main priority for the upcoming transfer window, agreeing to Bayern's terms would be nothing short of insanity.
Firstly, the market value of both De Jong and Araujo exceeds €70 million each. Secondly, Kimmich's contract expires in a year, so the idea of shelling out such a significant sum, along with sacrificing a top player, is ridiculous.
Maybe it's high time to look for pivot options elsewhere?
