Xavi went to slam the criticism he's received from the Spanish claiming it's been 'unfair' at the very least. 

“People didn't believe me, they said I was going to lose the dressing room. We have received unfair criticism. 

“But we have shown that we are prepared to compete in Europe. We're one of the top 8 teams in Europe. 

"We have to be proud of what we have achieved here," Xavi added. 

Indeed Xavi has been heavily criticized by both the media and fans of 

 but it's down to the huge expectation that comes with the Barca hotseat. 

Xavi has since buckled to that pressure by announcing he would leave at the end of the season. 

However, the former midfielder could leave on a high note by winning the Champions League and possibly La Liga too.

if he stays then he is not a man of his words ,the challenges he has is that he is a racist he solely believes in spanish players  what pau did yesterday faye can do better and moreso whT fermin is doing victor will do it better as well . for the coach to succeed he needs to learn that everyone is important to the development of the team not been biased as a coach if xavi has all the spanish players in Barcelona he will never use an outsider trust me .

Uncle Jay, you really made a good point but the Board don't need to convince Xavi to stay. Both the fans and the media criticize Xavi not because they don't like him but rather they want him to change some of his negative attitudes: doing the right things at the right time, e.g. like yesterday he made the substitutions at the right time for the right players. 

However, look at our game against Athletic Bilbao: when Xavi was expected to bring in a striker, he ended up substituting a defender. Had he won that match, Barca would have now had a strong chance of catching up Real Madrid, thereby winning La liga.

People like us love Xavi but we love Barcelona much more than we love him. So, it is too early to start making such a statement of convincing Xavi. Let him prove himself by going further in the competition.

Faye had the hype when he was signed. How many of his games have you seen since then? Have you watched him up close to be sure he’s that good? Coutinho was good when we signed him, same as fati when he got his first team promotion, the list goes on, do you know better than the coaches. Y’all are always quick to pin everything on racism. He (Faye) should boss up and up his game and see if any coach would deny him a playing chance.

Criticism is good, but not when it becomes your daily meal. Xavi has proven to be a true Blaugrana. kudos 👏. 

I personally think Deco and Laporta should convince Xavi to stay a little longer and get him a world-class DM in the summer after permanent sales of loanees.

 I'm certain he (Xavi) probably has a change of mind (concerning his departure) after yesterday's victory. And note that no currently available coaches know Barca more than him.
