Paulo Dybala is reportedly determined to try to join Barcelona again this summer.
Tactically, the 30-year-old is a bit different to what he was in his prime years. Let's see how he could fit into the Blaugrana eleven in the 2024/25 season.
Option 1: as a shadow striker alongside Yamal
These days, Dybala spends most of the time sitting behind a striker in the right half-space. If Barca's next coach prefers his side to play more centrally, the Argentine will absolutely love it.
Dybala knows how to go for a goal himself, give the final pass and support counterattacks well. He could form a great link with Robert Lewandowski or a faster forward like Vitor Roque.
Option 2: as a sole shadow striker
The Argentine can sit behind a striker, dropping deep to support the two-man midfield if needed.
This would allow Lamine Yamal to play in his best position while also using a left winger to boost Barca's attacking potential.
Option 3: as a right winger
Dybala can also play an inside forward on the right wing. Unlike Lamine Yamal, he's not a keen ball carrier as he would still try to cut inside and create a goal from a more central position.
The biggest concern about this option is that Yamal does better on the right than on the left.
