Xavi: 'We weren't good. The team could've given much more'

"It's a missed opportunity. The team could have given much more. This is a lost opportunity for the game, for our feelings, for closing the gap at the top of the league," Xavi has told Movistar after the 0-0 draw against Athletic Club.

"We have to reproach ourselves for things, we haven't been good. We're disappointed for not being at the level that the game required," he also said.

This is one of those rare occasions when Xavi admits his team actually didn't look good. While showing some solidity at the back, Blaugrana didn't seem creative and generated little to make the difference.

The gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona remains eight points. Barca are also one point behind Girona at the moment.
