Atletico Madrid might've already shown Barcelona exactly how to get Joao Felix permanently.
Atleti loaned Antoine Griezmann from Barca for 2 years in 2021 with an option to sign him permanently if he plays a certain number of minutes. He eventually did and Atleti paid just €20m to sign him permanently.
Barca will now use the same Griezmann formula to land Felix, top source Fernando Polo says.
The Blaugrana will offer €30-40m to Atleti for their player, but if they refuse they will press for a one-year loan of the attacker. That would make it two years spent by Felix on loan at Barca.
That loan deal will likely come with a buy option of €30m at the end of the 2024/25 season. Either way, Barca will get the player for a fair price.
Barcelona spent €120m to sign Griezmann and eventually sold him for a miserly €20m after loaning him for 2 years to the same he was signed from.
It might be the same case for Atleti with Felix. They signed him for €127m and could lose him for €30m to Barca after a two-year loan spell.
