Barcelona could surprise the world with a late move for Ghanaian sensation Mohammed Kudus – if not this month, then in the following transfer campaigns.
The 23-year-old would replace Ousmane Dembele at Barca – but there are even more ways he could fit into Xavi's team.
Option 1
If Xavi keeps starting four midfielders, Mohammed Kudus could obtain his natural spot on the right side.
We don't expect the Ghanaian to start alongside Joao Cancelo in such a formation – Kudus often drops deep to support attacks from half wings or in the middle, just like the Portuguese.
Option 2
Mo has 24 goals from 86 appearances with Ajax, so one shouldn't give up on him as a goalscorer. Last season, he played a few matches as a centre-forward and could be an option for Xavi too.
Kudus might be the missing link in attack – maybe Robert Lewandowski needs exactly this kind of player to link up with.
Option 3
Finally, Kudus can be an option in midfield too.
The African star could be our 'mezzala' – a wide central-midfield player in a trio of a 4-3-3 formation, actively supporting the attacks with Pedri and Lamine Yamal by his side.
