'We are in middle of London, that's good news and bad news': Boehly updates on Chelsea stadium plans

It has been previously reported that Chelsea are considering their options with regards to the stadium.

One option is the redevelopment of Stamford Bridge. Another option is building a new stadium in another area. However, the second option is nearly impossible because the club might have to give up its' name to move away from the Bridge.

It looks like Chelsea are trying to redevelop the stadium but don't have the necessary permission yet. At least that's what we can understand from what Todd Boehly said.

"Long term we are working on the stadium plan. We have a really unique spot in London," the Chelsea co-owner said, as quoted by Ben Jacobs.

"So many people can come to a Chelsea game and we are basically in the heart of west London, but we only have a stadium that seats about 40,000. To update the quality and size of the stadium is a priority for us over the next decade.

"[Plans] have already started, but you have to have a lot of conversations with a lot of constituents because you are in the middle of London. The good news is we're in the middle of London, but the bad news is we're in the middle of London!"
