After the Wolves defeat, Bella Silva, the wife of Thiago Silva, posted a controversial tweet, which looked as if she was calling for the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino.
At a recent press conference, the Argentine played down the incident, saying he had a 'private' conversation with the defender. He also noted that he has an excellent relationship with the former Chelsea captain.
The Athletic point to two incidents that happened between Poch and Thiago Silva earlier this season.
The first is the duo's 'prolonged and animated argument' which happened during the Tottenham game in November. The second took place in the Wolves game: when Palmer opened the scoring for Chelsea, Poch told the Brazilian to come to the touchline to give him instructions. The veteran defender ignored him so the Argentine had to ask Enzo Fernandez to relay his message.
While such incidents are a part of football, it's rare that you see a player's wife calling out a manager on social media.
