Romano provides update on Chelsea target Jonathan David's future

Chelsea have reportedly been interested in signing Jonathan David from Lille to strengthen their strike force.

Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the forward's future claiming that he won't be going anywhere this month, but could be on the move in the summer.

"Jonathan David won’t leave Lille in the final days of the January transfer window," tweeted Romano.

"Lille want to keep their best players in January despite interest from England, Spain, Italy — David is staying.

"He’s gonna be one to watch in summer as current deal expires in June 2025."
