Tottenham face points deduction
After Everton had ten points docked for financial breaches, Tottenham could face a similar punishment. They used the services of an unlicensed agent to sign Jermaine Defoe back in 2009 and could get a points deduction for it in the 2023-24 season.
It's not really good news for Chelsea despite the fact that our city rivals will be less likely to challenge for the title with a points deduction.
If they get a punishment for a relatively small offence that took place in 2009, it would mean that Chelsea are more likely to suffer a similar fate for the multiple financial breaches during the Abramovich era.
