'Very positive': Pochettino rates Caicedo debut

Moises Caicedo had a debut to forget in Chelsea's 3-1 defeat at West Ham. The midfielder came on in the 60th minute, instantly fired over the bar from outside the box and then went largely anonymous until added time.

Then he gifted the ball to Fornals inside Chelsea's third and was bailed out by Sanchez. But the worst happened after that as he bundled over Emerson, giving away the penalty that Paqueta converted.

Pochettino told Sky Sports about Caicedo's debut: "When we took the decision to play with him for the last 30 minutes, it's because he's ready to play.

"He did well, very positive things. You cannot say it was massively wrong.

"He will be disappointed. We are all disappointed because I think we deserved more."

Now Poch is either delusional or trying to protect Caicedo by not publicly criticising him. It was one of the worst debuts one could possibly have and you just can't deny that Moises was extremely poor. Not just with the penalty but his overall performance was extremely disappointing.
