Chelsea claimed to make €80m bid for Vlahovic, Romano delivers clarification

ESPN claims that Chelsea have made a €80m bid for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbia international has reportedly become Chelsea's priority target after it became apparent that Napoli would demand exorbitant money for Victor Osimhen.

Vlahovic is unhappy at Juventus due to the uncertainty over the club's Champions League status and Max Allegri's defence-oriented approach - so he might consider a move to Stamford Bridge.

However, Fabrizio Romano has poured some cold water on the rumour.

He tweeted: "Understand Chelsea haven’t sent €80m bid for Dusan Vlahovic, as of now. He’s one of many strikers appreciated at the club but no bid/talks."
