Evening Standard: Ben Chilwell to have a scan on Friday, World Cup hopes are 'over'

Ben Chilwell is set to have a scan on his injured hamstring on Friday to find out the extent of his injury, as per the Evening Standard.

Initial assessments of the full-back's problem 'have not been positive' and his World Cup dream is all but 'over' regardless of this week's tests.

Chelsea suspect that the 25-year-old, who missed half of last season, has 'a grade two hamstring tendon tear', estimating his recovery time at up to 12 weeks.

Chilwell suffered a hamstring injury during Chelsea's 2–1 win against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on Wednesday and was seen leaving Stamford Bridge on crutches.
