Caught on camera: Mason Mount 'booked' referee at halftime of Dinamo Zagreb game

Mason Mount might have walked the tightrope during the half-time of the Dinamo Zagreb win.

Cameras picked up him having a light-hearted conversation with French referee Francois Letexier and his assistants.

Then, the Chelsea midfielder reached out for something. The next thing we see, he's brandishing a yellow card in the officials' faces!

Of course, he might've only done this when he saw that the officials were in a good mood.

Otherwise, he might've shared the same fate as Paul Gascoigne. While playing for Rangers, the iconic attacker jokingly showed a yellow card to a ref who dropped it on the pitch - only to be booked himself in return.

Mount was one booking away from being banned for the next Champions League game - so we should be thankful to the French ref for getting the joke.
