Chelsea fear Chilwell's injury is long-term, could be out beyond World Cup - The Telegraph

Fears are growing at Chelsea that Ben Chilwell has suffered a serious hamstring injury in the Dinamo Zagreb win, The Telegraph reports.

His teammates are worried that the left-back has torn his hamstring after he complained of hearing it 'popping' in the final minutes of the game.

The club is still waiting for the results of the scan - and so probably does Gareth Southgate who has to name his final England squad for the World Cup next Thursday.

Most of all, it's a huge blow for the player himself who missed most of the last season with an ACL injury.

If the worst fears are confirmed, Chilwell won't only be out for the World Cup but also for a chunk of the season afterwards.
