Loftus-Cheek in? Select your preferred Chelsea XI vs Everton from 2 options

On Sunday, Chelsea are taking on Frank Lampard's Everton as they hope to maintain a healthy gap between themselves and the fourth-placed Arsenal with five games left to play before the end of the Premier League campaign.

Mateo Kovacic has returned to training, but the game on Sunday comes too early for him to feature. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ben Chilwell are also out.

Andreas Christensen could be back in the team after recovering from an illness. Ross Barkley, who is also ill, is much less likely to feature for so many reasons.

The rest of the squad is fit and should be eager to bounce back after a frustrating draw against Man United on Thursday.

So, who should start at Goodison Park tomorrow?

Option 1

While the result at Old Trafford was disappointing, the performance was not too bad overall, with Chelsea enjoying a massive advantage over United. That's why Thomas Tuchel might decide against changing the team too much.

The only line that definitely needs rejigging is the front three. While Tuchel might not go as far as reinstalling Romelu Lukaku - it was a rare bad night for Kai Havertz on Thursday, after all, - someone like Christian Pulisic could be given a start.

Option 2

A case could be made for a more significant rotation - there would be less than 72 hours between the games, after all.

Thiago Silva could be rested, as well as Jorginho - Ruben Loftus-Cheek seems to be the third midfielder in the pecking order while Kovacic is injured.
