Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs looking into the possibility of signing Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes in the summer.
The Gunners will have to pay his £100m release clause to do so, but feel that he can be the perfect fit to create the ultimate midfield line for the club.
Guimaraes has proven himself as a combative and really creative defensive midfielder for Newcastle United this season, often getting involved in goals too.
He can create chances from deep with his stellar long-balls, make forward runs to get among goals and has 12 goal contributions (six goals, six assists) in 34 Premier League games this season.

Of course, Mikel Arteta is eyeing the Brazilian star to slot him in that defensive midfield or no.6 role in his side. That will allow Declan Rice to play a more free and advanced no.8 role, as well as giving Martin Odegaard more freedom to roam forward to create chances too.
Guimaraes won’t only be tasked to destroy opposition moves and win duels, but also take some creative burden from his fellow teammates. He can definitely help the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli soar through on goal with his lovely chipped passes and also help Rice and Odegaard push further forward into the opposition’s final third.
