Xhaka has been an important member of Mikel Arteta's table topping side with 31 appearances. He has contributed 12 goals across all competitions (7 goals, 5 assists).
However, at 30, age is no longer on his side. Eze, 24, is having a revival of some sort under Roy Hodgson with three goals in his last three matches for Crystal Palace.
Eze is capable of eventually stepping up to play at a higher level and transfermarkt values him at £26m ahead of this summer transfer window.
