Man United WAGs become Sir Jim Ratcliffe's next target with strict cost-cutting move

Man United want to salvage their 2023/24 season by clinching the FA Cup title by defeating Man City at Wembley.

As per Mirror, the wives and girlfriends of the Red Devils’ players will not be getting any more ‘freebies’ when it comes to travelling for the match.

The players are informed that will be no ‘official trips’ for their partners or family members. Instead, these individuals must pay travel expenses and hotel costs by themselves.

Man United will only be providing seating at Wembley for the WAGs this year. This is a major change from previous years when the club paid the flight expenses for the players’ family members, bore the cost of their hotel stay and also hosted after-parties.

This is part of a cost-cutting move that has been ordered by Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The club’s new co-owner wants to start saving on such unnecessary expenses to help improve their finances.

Man United are also not only to bear the travel expenses for the 1,100 non-playing staff members. These people will only be given a single ticket each this year, a change from when they used to get multiple tickets for family members.
