Man United planning to introduce three new elements in Carrington training facility overhaul

According to the Daily Mail, Man United’s hierarchy has decided to carry out major changes in the Carrington training facility during the summer break.

There are substantial works being planned to change the atmosphere and elements of the training ground, with it being masterminded by Sir Dave Brailsford.

A major introduction that will be made in this multi-million-pound overhaul is the introduction of a new ‘pre-activation and player performance’ zone. This warm-up area is being made to help lower the risk of injuries amongst the players after all the problems over this season.

The pre-activation aspect involves a series of exercises – usually with resistance bands and foam rollers – which aim to increase blood flow to muscles through skipping and jogging. In this area, players will also be made to take part in other mobility exercises, such as lunges, to help open up areas like the knees and hips and keep their body flexible and fit.

Moreover, there rae also being plans made to ensure more natural light is poured into the building with the help of giant new windows around the exterior of the training building. More modern, open-plan offices are also being planned for the executives.

The hierarchy are also aiming to build a new ‘winter garden’ – which will be providing a ‘year-round amenity space’ and afford protection from the Manchester climate.

Man United are also planning on the Old Trafford redevelopment process and it current looks more realistic that the club continues playing at the Theatre of Dreams while the modernization process goes on rather than another stadium being built on a different site.
