'Not the transfer activity of a top club': Mark Goldbridge slams Man United's deadline day approach

Reacting to the transfer deadline day in Europe, Mark Goldbridge wrote on X: "If Manchester United are the Titanic, we can see the iceberg!

"Sergio Reguilon on loan, struggling to get Sofyan Amrabat on loan. Donny van de Beek, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Eric Bailly are still here.

"That's not the transfer activity of a top 6 club. If Amrabat deal happens, it's just hype and spin to make fans think Man United have pulled off a miracle.

"£120,000-per-week for Reguilon and we're paying all of it. Man United are now paying over half a million pounds a week just on left backs."

More additions are expected to take place at Man United on Friday after the Red Devils confirmed the signing of back-up goalkeeper Altay Bayindir from Besiktas.

Reguilon has now completed a medical ahead of a season-long loan move from Tottenham while talks over Amrabat with Fiorentina are taking place right now.
