Liverpool poised to reward one breakout youngster with new lucrative contract

Liverpool are planning for a plethora of contract renewals heading into the summer transfer window after Jurgen Klopp’s departure.

As per the Mirror, the Reds are also looking to give a new and improved deal to young centre-back Jarell Quansah for his heroics in the 2023/24 season.

The English centre-back only signed a long-term deal with the club in 2023, but Liverpool wants to improve the terms of the deal because of how well he’s performed.

The Reds’ hierarchy are willing to give him a more lucrative, higher-wage package and are ready to begin talks with his agents in the next few weeks.

Quansah is currently rumoured to be on a youth player’s wages of £3,000-a-week and Liverpool want his new deal to reflect that of a senior player with much higher wages.

The 21-year-old defender has made 31 appearances for Liverpool so far this season, helping them keep eight clean sheets in those games.
