'I've made the choice': Slot all but confirms Liverpool move as he says goodbye to Feyenoord

Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot has practically confirmed that he's leaving the Dutch club.

Feyenoord defeated Zwolle 5-0 in what appears to be the 45-year-old's penultimate game at his side's home ground, De Kuip. After the final whistle, he sent kisses to the fans.

“I agree it looked like that! They are expecting me to leave. That is something we could say,” the Dutchman told journalist Lewis Steele when asked if it was a goodbye gesture.

“Sometimes in life opportunities come along. I have made the choice for myself and in the upcoming days or weeks you will hear the official announcement. Last year I made the choice to stay, this time probably different.

“I saw a few minutes of the [Liverpool v Spurs] game then we had to go to the stadium. I saw the first goal, which was a great goal, but apart from that I can’t say much about it.

"If the official confirmation is there and I am 100% sure I will go there, I will not only watch this game but many more."

The Dutchman is expected to be announced as the successor to Jurgen Klopp this month.
