Liverpool have decided to call off the possibility of a city-wide open bus parade to send off Jurgen Klopp after the end of the 2023/24 season.
As per The Athletic, the German manager is not at all perturbed by this because he understands why the club doesn’t want to go ahead with it.
Liverpool would’ve held the parade had they been able to win another trophy after clinching the Carabao Cup trophy and don’t feel that silverware by itself warrants such an extravagant celebration.
Klopp is now heading into what is going to be the last three Liverpool matches that he is in charge off, including the penultimate game at Anfield against Tottenham Hotspur.
The gaffer is, however, likely to get an emotional and large-scale send-off at Anfield itself in the final match of the 2023/24 season against Wolves on May 19.
