Elliott: 'We've not been good enough lately and wanted to put it right'

Liverpool beat Spurs 4-2, leading 4-0 before the opposition pulled two goals back. It still was a fantastic performance by the Reds and Harvey Elliott says they were motivated by the poor results in the past few weeks.

"There was motivation to go out there and put it right. We know we've not been good enough in the last few weeks and we wanted to put it right," he told Sky post-match.

Elliott scored a stunning goal, hitting top bins from outside the box. The midfielder said about it: "I thought it was going over to be honest. I saw it drop at the end.

"It's about time I scored a goal, I think I've hit the bar and the post in the last few games."
