Konate, Alisson & more: Latest injury updates and possible return dates before Man United clash

Liverpool are determined to move into the FA Cup semifinal by defeating Man United in their final match before the March international window.

The Reds are still unfortunately dealing with a bit of a mini-injury crisis with quite a few key first-team players out with problems.

Jurgen Klopp has done a spectacular job at handling the injuries and perfectly promoted young talents to cover for the injured players.

Ahead of the trip to Old Trafford, here are the latest injury updates and possible return dates for the players.

The Frenchman missed out on the Man City clash due to a niggling injury. However, Klopp confirmed that he has a solid chance of making a return to action against United on Sunday (March 17).

Possible return date: vs Man United (March 17)

Trent has missed over a month of action after sustaining an injury against Burnley in February and he is still rehabbing on that problem. However, Trent’s return isn’t that far away, although he’s not going to make the Man United game.

Possible return date: vs Brighton (March 31)

Jones suffered an unfortunate injury in the win over Brentford last month, but it was hinted that he should be back after the international break.

The Dutchman has been unable to play any matches since the Carabao Cup final, but Klopp reaffirmed recently that his injury wasn’t that bad. He is unlikely to be risked until after the break too.

The Brazilian goalkeeper has been forced to watch the last few games from the stands after suffering a hamstring injury in training recently. He is, although, going to play in the final stretch of the campaign.

Possible return date: April

Jota was fortunate enough not to suffer a major knee injury after the nasty clash against Brentford, and it has been stated that he will be in the running to feature in Liverpool’s final stretch of matches.

Possible return date: April

The Spaniard has not gotten much game time at all because of persistent injury problems restricting his development. However, he is making good recovery on his issues and should be able to add more depth to Klopp’s squad in the final run.

Possible return date: April

Thiago’s set-back in the loss to Arsenal meant that his season is probably over, while Matip’s nasty knee injury won’t let him play much either. Doak is also out for the rest of the season and is in a fight to be in contention to play in Euro 2024.

Possible return date: Unknown
