Liverpool faced a setback in the Carabao Cup final as Ryan Gravenberch was forced off the field on a stretcher within the first half-hour of the match. The midfielder's early exit came after a hefty collision with Moises Caicedo.
Jurgen Klopp expressed his concern about the referee's decisions regarding the Gravenberch injury. The untimely departure of the midfielder added to Liverpool's ongoing injury challenges.
Quoted by the Independent, Klopp said:"They did an x-ray [on Gravenberch], it is not broken but the ligaments got something and that's how it is."
"There were two teams fighting very hard, and the referee didn’t have the level of the game."
"It was not even a foul?! Then the fourth official explaining we cannot give a card... good idea. This situation was obvious for me, everything you need for a card."
