Arsenal defender Rob Holding has highlighted the atmosphere of Anfield as the most intimidating in the Premier League. The Gunners had a 2-0 lead against Liverpool in April, but ended up drawing 2-2.
The clash between Granit Xhaka and Trent Alexander-Arnold sparked the passionate Anfield crowd, leading to Liverpool's comeback. Despite two remarkable saves by Aaron Ramsdale, Arsenal couldn't hold on to the win.
"Definitely in the Premier League, Anfield [has the best atmosphere]," Holding claimed. "We were 2-0 up and suddenly their crowd lifted and got aggressive."
"You could see it boost their players. Their players then look a bit taller and run a bit faster. It's a tough, tough place to go and take all three points. We should have done, to be fair."
"The Kop just sucks the ball into the net. There's this energy and pressure and it eventually breaks through."
