Adidas remove Germany's no. 44 jerseys from website

Adidas no longer allow their clients to customise the new Germany jerseys with number 44.

This was done after their resemblance to the symbol used by World War II Nazi SS - the most responsible for Nazis' crimes against humanity - was raised.

The company's spokesman Oliver Bruggen has denied that this similarity was intentional, also adding that neither the German FA nor UEFA saw any resemblance to Nazi symbols.

"We as a company are committed to opposing xenophobia, anti-Semitism, violence and hatred in every form," he stated.

This controversy aside, most fans have been pleased with the home kit design as Germany have already worn them in the March friendlies. Julian Nagelsmann's side will continue doing it at the Euros.
