“No one understands why Xavi doesn’t play him and doesn’t even speak to Vitor, it’s not right,” Vitor Roque's agent Cury has told RAC1.
This confirms the news that made the rounds last week claiming that Xavi's relationship with Roque is completely broken.
Barcelona have been planning to ship Roque on loan to another La Liga club but the striker's agent claims that will not happen.
“He will not leave on loan. If he leaves, it will be on a permanent transfer,” Cury said.
“We will discuss his future with Barca soon,” the agent added.
Roque has not played a single minute in Barca's last three matches. He wasn't involved in any of Barca's Champions League matches from the last 16 through the quarter-finals. Xavi didn't use him in the Spanish Super Cup either.
It explains why Roque has only played 310 minutes of football at Barca since he arrived in January from Brazil. The 19-year-old has managed two goals since.
