'We have the chance to take 12 points' Petrovic reveals Chelsea's long-term and short-term goals under Poch

Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic is aiming to provide some joy to the fans and end the 2023/24 season on a high by qualifying for a European competition next season.

Speaking ahead of the West Ham United match, he said: “We want to play in the Champions League, we want to take trophies. That is in the history of this club. But I can say that it’s a success if we play Europa League next year.

“We have the chance to take 12 points more. If we do that - and it will be difficult - we will have a good chance to be in Europe next season... We don’t want to give up. We want to finish the season in a good way.”

Petrovic will be aiming to keep his second successive clean sheet in the Premier League after also managing an impressive shutout against Tottenham Hotspur in the last game.

The 24-year-old has made 27 appearances for the Blues so far in this campaign, keeping six clean sheets and jumping over Robert Sanchez in the pecking order.
