After today's confident 5-0 victory against West Ham, Chelsea are now 7th in the Premier League table. The Blues already have 10 more points than they had last season with 3 more games to go and are even in contention for the Europa League.
Chelsea fan named lumpnut72 explained what he thinks improved in the club compared to the last season.
"I feel pretty content with how this season has played out in relation to our last. Our previous season we witnessed players that clearly wanted to move on to a different club. This season we have begun to see the boys fight for the badge, much more than we did the previous year.
"Last year our main guys in Mason Mount and Havertz both jumped ship when the opportunity presented itself. Here we know that Gallagher loves the club and wants to stay- Palmer fights for his new club as if he has been here for years, and Jackson has pride in playing in the Premier League.
"Even though these players haven’t created a title contending team- I love all of them. This season has brought life back into our team and I look forward to each match.
"I can see now that if we create some consistency, we can end up placing in the top 4 next season. One day becoming a title contending team with an optimistic future is spectacular. Last season I couldn’t see that happening anytime soon with those boys."
