In what was hands down the worst performance of the season, Chelsea capitulated 5-0 at the Emirates. Here is how we rated the players.
Petrovic: 6/10. Should have done better with Trossard's goal but was a man possessed after that. Made a brilliant save when the ball deflected off Disasi in the middle of the first half. Made two very smart saves on Havertz, including stopping a one-on-one.
It feels weird to give a keeper a decent mark for a game in which Chelsea conceded five but he was the difference between losing 5-0 and 10-0 today.
Gilchrist: 5. A bit of unnecessary aggression against Trossard and poor positioning for Arsenal's opener but overall held his ground reasonably well — as much as you can say that for a defender in a 5-0 loss.
Jackson: 3. A few positive runs and a clear-cut chance missed. Often the only Chelsea player who at least tried to create something.
Madueke: 2. Offered zero help to Gilchrist when it came to defending. No tracking back, no pressing, nothing. Inventive when going forward but on very few occasions.
Cucurella: 2. Let Saka do whatever he wanted on his side. Didn't ask much questions to White attack-wise though and lost the duel to Havertz letting him score his first goal.
Caicedo: 2. Lazy defending for the Arsenal opener. Came second-best in most duels against Partey and Rice.
Disasi: 2. Nearly scored a brilliant goal... only that would have been an own goal. Disastrous defending.
Mudryk: 1. Left Cucurella exposed, casually jogging back when he needed to run at full speed to help Chelsea defend. No positive attacking output whatsoever.
Badiashile: 1. Almost gifted the goal to Arsenal early on, very poor defending throughout the game. Occasional threat in the air at corners but his performance at the back tonight was the stuff of nightmares.
Enzo: 1. Atrocious in the build-up, couldn't pass the ball to teammate to save his life. Let Arsenal pass through Chelsea's midfield like a hot knife through butter. Missed a good opportunity to equalise in the 29th minute.
