Chelsea 'leading race' for €60m Brazilian wonderkid nicknamed Messinho

Caught Offside report that Chelsea are interested in signing Estevao Willian and are actively working on the deal.

The 16-year-old has a €60m release clause and Chelsea are in talks with Palmeiras over the structure of the deal.

The Blues are 'leading the race', with another interested club, Barcelona, unable to sign the forward because of Financial Fair Play restrictions.

The Brazilian has a nickname, Messinho, which was given to him because of his dribbling skills. He's already made a senior appearance for Palmeiras and is considered one of the world's most talented players.

If Chelsea agree a fee for Willian, he'd be able to join the club only when he turns 18 — that is, in 2025.
