Chelsea loaned Lewis Hall to Newcastle this summer in a deal that included a £28 million obligation to buy clause at the end of the loan.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe was asked by journalist Craig Hope about the future of the player and said he can't confirm if the club will end up buying the player on a permanent move.
“Eddie Howe can’t confirm if Chelsea loanee Lewis Hall will be a Newcastle player next season," reported Hope.
"Says the decision isn’t his as certain criteria have to be met (£28m obligation to buy existed at time of deal).”
Hall has only made 6 appearances for Newcastle since his move and racked up just 234 minutes in what is turning out to be a pretty poor loan spell so far.
