Chelsea icon tips Arsenal to win PL
Chelsea icon Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Arsenal will win the Premier League this season. Speaking to SafeBettingSites, the former striker said: "Arsenal are doing so well and they keep on surprising me.
"They’re doing great and playing really good football but I do think they’re going to have a bad time of maybe two or three losses and then we’ll see how they react.
"My favourites are still Manchester City but I’m getting closer and closer to saying that perhaps it is going to be Arsenal’s year."
Slonina won't be loaned out
Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea's young new goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina won't be loaned out in January, contrary to earlier rumours.
The American will stay with the Blues at least until the end of the season - although it's not clear if he gets any game time with the first team or with the academy sides.
Andrey Santos snubbed City and Newcastle for Chelsea
Romano reveals that Andrey Santos could leave Vasco da Gama Man City's football group this month, as well as Newcastle.
However, he accepted Chelsea's offer instead, and it looks to be a very promising deal. The midfielder has already scored three goals in three games for Brazil at the U20 South American Championship.
Youngsters agree to new deals
The Evening Standard reports that Chelsea managed to convince Charlie Webster and Malik Mothersille to sign new contracts.
There were fears that some highly-rated academy assets would leave after the spending spree for the first team - but the Blues have managed to keep at least some of them.
