Chelsea and West Ham revive talks over Emerson transfer (reliability: 5 stars)

As per the Evening Standard, West Ham is back in talks for the transfer of Emerson Palmieri from Chelsea.

Initially the deal had broken down because of the difference in Chelsea's demands and West Ham's valuation of the player.

Chelsea wanted at least £20 million for the player but West Ham were only going up till £13 million.

There has also been interest from Atalanta as well as Nottingham Forest , but the defender prefers a move to the Hammers.

He is reportedly looking to get a hike in wages, seeking £95,000-a-week instead of the £70,000 he earns at Chelsea right now.
