'Marco Silva was entitled to get animated': Garth Crooks believes Fulham would've beaten Arsenal if it wasn't for 'poor' refereeing

Speaking to BBC Sport, Garth Crooks said: "Fulham deserved to share the points with Arsenal despite referee Paul Tierney's poor decision-making.

"Cottagers boss Marco Silva was entitled to get animated when he saw one of his players on the floor injured and the referee disregarded it and waved play on.

"Yes, referees [in the Premier League] are not doctors or physiotherapists and need to be careful when making such judgements."

Eddie Nketiah scored for Arsenal in the 72nd minute on Saturday, making the score 2–2 but Marco Silva demanded that the referee cancel the goal.

The Fulham manager claimed that that Bukayo Saka fouled Calvin Bassey in the build-up and that the play should've been stopped before the equaliser.
