Arsenal lost their first Premier League match of 2023 in their 1-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday.
The Gunners failed to match up to the hosts’ intensity, as the Toffees rode on some new manager bounce to get the win.
One Arsenal player that disappointed fans was Ben White – who struggled with his opponents physicality and was troubled by Dwight McNeil and Alex Iwobi.
Some Gooners on Twitter believe it’s time he is benched for Takehiro Tomiyasu, as they reacted.
Jon: “White has been fantastic this season, but his recent performances have been slightly underwhelming. I think it’s about time we give Tomiyasu a run of games to see what kind of difference he can bring.”
Chris Grey: “Unpopular opinion Ben white doesn’t offer enough at right back. Time for Tomiyasu to start.”
Senyo: “White needs to sort himself out else Tomiyasu should be starting. The passion in his play is even gone.”
Emre Memo Arslaner: “Ben White should not be playing as right back anymore, Tomiyasu should play as of now.”
